Diluter XL 3000

The XL 3000 Modular Digital Pump is a stepper motor driven syringe pump. The pump consists of a syringe drive, valve drive, and control electronics. The head of the syringe is attached to the valve assembly which controls the input and output of the fluid path. The plunger of the syringe is attached to the syringe drive which moves the plunger up and down. The drive has a resolution of 12,000 steps of the total syringe volume.
The syringe driver assembly has a stepper motor which is controlled by a driver PC board. The stepper motor turns the lead screw which causes the carriage to move up and down. A slotted wheel and optical sensor is mounted on the top of the lead screw to detect for lost steps. If lost steps are detected, an error code is immediately transmitted to the external computer.
For communication a RS 485 serial port is used.
